Maria was born in Constanța (Romania) 1987 and studied Architecture in Bucharest at UAUIM.

Maria graduated in 2012 and moved to Italy, where she started an itinerant Master on Designing Archaeological Sites. There she met students all over the world with whom she worked during the workshops in different cities such as Rome, Milan, Palermo, Valencia, Istanbul, Athens and New York. The interest of working on international historical sites and thinking contemporary within archeology grew so much and showed her that Architecture changes so fast from one decade to another, and that it becomes more and more abstract.

Coming face to face with the problems in the profession of today, she started writing her PhD, trying to approach theoretically the past and present together. In her second year of Doctoral Studies, she achieved a scholarship in Florence, Universita degli Studi Firenze.

Maria´s workshops in Italy developed a profound interest in designing, team work and in this constant changes that Architecture suffers. This she learned also from her experience in the studios she worked and from the University of Architecture from Bucharest, where she is teaching as a former Assistant since 2013.
